Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I get there?

Our service times are above, but we’d love it if you arrived a few minutes early to let us say hello and help you feel welcome!

Where should I park?

There is parking located all around the building. Park wherever works best for you!

Where should I go when I get there?

Walk right in! There is just one main entrance to our church building, it’s hard to miss. We can’t wait to meet you and answer any questions you have!

What should I wear?

Our members typically wear dress clothes on Sundays (a nicer shirt and pants). On Wednesdays, we dress more casually. We simply ask that you be covered and modest. We will not judge you however you come. We want to have you here.

What about my kids?

During Bible class periods, we have classes for all ages. Your kids would be welcome to go to class with kids their age, but they’d be just as welcome to go to class with you and the other adults in the main auditorium. It’s all up to what you and your family are comfortable with.

During worship periods, we all gather together in the main auditorium. However, there is a cry room/nursery available for parents with young children.

How long do assemblies usually last?

Bible class assemblies usually last about 45 minutes, while worship assemblies usually last about one hour. After Bible class on Wednesday night, we gather together in the auditorium for about 15 minutes of worship and study.

What are your assemblies like?

Every Sunday in our worship assemblies, we perform what we call the “five acts of worship”:

  1. Singing (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16)
  2. Praying (1 Tim. 2:8)
  3. Taking the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7)
  4. Giving (1 Cor. 16:2)
  5. Preaching (Acts 20:7; Rom. 10:14)

We want to do Bible things in Bible ways in all things, including our worship. Our goal in worship isn’t to entertain or make ourselves feel good, we just want to please God. For more on how we worship, check out the “What We Believe” section on our About Us page.

Will I be asked to give money?

In every Sunday morning assembly, we give our members an opportunity to give money to support the Lord’s work. However, if you’re not a member of the congregation, we don’t ask or expect you to give. We’re just delighted you’re sacrificing your time and energy to worship God.

What should I bring?

If you have a Bible, you will definitely use it when you visit with us! Other than that, just bring yourself and an enthusiasm to worship God and study His Word.

Are people with exceptional needs welcome to come?

Absolutely! We believe all people are made in the image of God, regardless of the things they may have to do differently because of their physical bodies.

If you need help with taking care of your special needs friends or family during worship or want to visit with us but are worried, please let us know and we will have someone ready to help you when you arrive.

Do you have a children's church or nursery?

We don’t have a children’s church — we love having children in our worship services! It’s a perfect time for them to be touched by Jesus and His Word and see their parents worshipping Him.

We do, however, we do have a nursery/cry room provided for parents who may need it to take care of their children.

Any more questions?

We’d be glad to answer any questions you have.

I love the Buhl church of Christ. It is a place to belong with a group of people that love the Lord and everyone cares about one another. Everyone can find a church family here.

The Buhl Church of Christ means everything to me. It’s a family, a home, a retreat from this world. I have never felt such a sense of belonging. This church holds the salvation that you seek.

“The church of Christ in Buhl is truly a New Testament church, and our church family is one in a million. I would recommend it because it is the only true church of our Lord.”
